Lindsay Campbell, one of the early faces of web video as the host of Wallstrip, which was bought by CBS in 2007 for $4 million, is back on the PC screen today with a new show, Small Business Rules for Next New Networks.

Lindsay Campbell is back on the web.  Today kicks off the first season of Small Business Rules, a new web series from Next New Networks starring Campbell in a familiar role as business-minded host meeting top entrepreneurs around the country.

Fred Seibert, Hanna-Barbera Cartoons president from 1992 to 1997, adds that HB’s strong characters and stories more than made up for any animation deficiencies — and, in fact, their style has influenced today’s animators: “There is a whole new generation of cartoonists who are doing the same thing on the Internet, who are making limited animation like it’s the most sophisticated thing in the world.”

“The vid is part of an ongoing collab between the feature film The Final Destination and Next New Networks.”

“The non-fiction series produced by Next New Networks and Revision3, for example, are easily targeted to specific audiences — making them an easy sell to advertisers interested in reaching such groups.”

Today, YouTube begins a test today with another outside technology, FreeWheel, a video-ad server founded by ex-DoubleClick execs. That opens up YouTube to a host of big media companies such as CBS and Warner Bros. that are using FreeWheel, as well as web-only content companies such as Demand Media and Next New Networks.
